About Tiem Mi Huu Ky: Just around the corner from one of the best places to dance in Saigon, Mar Studio, is a noodle shop you won’t want to miss. They have tons of options for hủ tiếu (chewy rice noodles), but if you want the best experience either go for their mì vịt tiềm, a bowl of rich, savory broth with tender, succulent duck, or their mì sủi cảo (dumpling egg noodle soup). Portions are generous but dishes sell out fast, so come early (they open at 6am) and bring your appetite! Afterwards, walk over to PVC, and see what hidden gems you wander into.

The reason the place is packed during breakfast, lunch, and dinner is because of their legendary mì vịt tiềm (stewed duck noodle soup). Think of a big, tender duck leg on top of a steaming bowl of egg noodles. Add some of their well-known bánh bao (steamed buns) or há cảo (Dim sum) on the side and you've got yourself one of the best street food meals in the city.

About The Lunch Lady: Nguyễn Thị Thành, an globally-recognised Vietnamese celebrity as Saigon's "Lunch Lady," passed away in 2025. However, in her loving memory, her famous spot off Hoàng Sa Street continues to stay open, filling the hearts and bellies of countless faithful customers. Make sure to plan which day you will go if there is a certain dish you’re after as each day is different. Bún Thái (thin rice noodles in a fiery, aromatic, hot-and-sour Tom Yum-inspired broth) on Monday is JK’s favorite!). Also available daily are delicious sides such as gỏi cuốn tôm thịt (fresh spring rolls with shrimp and pork) and bánh tôm chiên (fried shrimp cakes). After you’re done eating, walk down Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai Street and grab a streetside cocktail at Chòi Chòi.

About Quán Mì Quảng Phố Hội: According to Matt, not only is Quán Mì Quảng Phố Hội one of the best spots for noodles, but it’s also one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the city. Offering over a half-dozen variations of mì quảng—wide, flat, slightly chewy noodles often infused with turmeric to give them a yellow color as as well as various toppings such as shrimp, pork belly, crushed peanuts, fresh herbs, and a crispy toasted sesame rice cracker. Plus, the place serves cao lầu—springy, pasta-like noodles topped with slices of Chinese-styled barbecued pork and crunch squares of fried dough. If you want some rice to go with your noodles, you can try their cơm gà Hội An—fluffy rice cooked in chicken broth and turmeric, topped with shredded poached chicken, fresh lime juice, onions, and Vietnamese coriander (rau răm). All in all, this is a go-to noodle spot in District 7. Also, since it’s only a 10-minute drive from the Saigon Sports Club, it’s a great place to fuel up on noodles after a workout.

Situated on Trúc Đường Street, PAMA’s spicy, savory bò kho (stewed beef beef noodle soup) does just that. You can either go for the classic style (brotha poured over noodles) or their signature style (noodles are tossed in Special House Pama sauce and served with a separate bowl of steaming beef stew). If you want to make a wonderful day out of it, we recommend going for a walk around Nguyen Van Huong street, stopping by PAMA for noodles, and ending at Bluish for great coffee and music.
