About Us

District 0 is an independent online media publication based in Saigon.

It started out of a desire of three friends, Aidan, Garrett, and Liam, to build and connect communities through stories: stories of people, places, and the perspectives that shape our lives.

Hailing from America, Canada, and Japan, we met in Saigon, the city we call home and the city that has inspired us to share these stories.

District 0 tells the stories of the human experience within Saigon. We’re interested in personal, honest, and narrative-driven pieces that tell you the ‘why’ and ‘who’ behind the city, rather than the ‘what’ and ‘where’. We go beyond the tourist guides and show you the artists, entrepreneurs, and dreamers who define Saigon, as well as the places that locals love most. Through interviewing, exploring, and following our curiosity, District 0 captures the spirit of the city—we don't want you to merely learn about Saigon, we want you to feel it.
